1. Scope and current status
This Privacy Policy applies to benevestalabs.com and, once released, the Benevesta mobile application and related services operated by Benevesta Labs LLC (“Benevesta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The app is currently in development. This website does not currently provide public accounts, marketplace transactions, or an app download.
Because product features and service providers may change before launch, the mobile-app portions below describe the intended categories of data and uses. We will revise this policy before collecting information through the app so that it accurately reflects the product available to users.
2. Information we collect
Website information
We do not currently ask visitors to create an account or submit personal information through this website. Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, device and browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
Email inquiries and launch-update requests
If you email us, you provide your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information to respond to your inquiry and, if you request them, share launch updates. You can ask to stop receiving updates or request deletion by emailing info@benevestalabs.com. The website’s email links open your own email application; they do not automatically subscribe you or submit information in the background.
Information the future app may collect
Depending on the features included at launch, the Benevesta app may collect or process:
- Account information, such as name, username, email address, profile image, and sign-in credentials.
- Fit-profile information, such as body measurements, clothing sizes, fit preferences, and optional profile attributes you choose to provide.
- User content, such as outfit photos, captions, product tags, brand, color, price, wardrobe items, comments, and messages.
- Marketplace information, such as listings, transaction status, shipping details, and customer-support records. Payment-card processing, if offered, is expected to be handled by a payment provider rather than stored directly by Benevesta.
- Device and usage information, such as app version, device type, language, interactions, crash data, and security logs.
- Information from third parties when you choose to connect a service or follow an external shopping link.
Final categories, permissions, retention periods, and third-party services will be disclosed here and in the App Store privacy information before launch.
3. How we use information
We may use information to provide and personalize the service; compare fit information at a level appropriate to the feature; organize wardrobes and content; support product discovery and marketplace functions; maintain accounts; respond to support requests; protect users and the service; understand and improve performance; comply with law; and communicate about material service changes.
We do not intend to use body-measurement information to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, health care, or other eligibility matters.
4. How information may be shared
We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, support, or operate the service; with transaction participants when needed to complete an action you request; when you choose to make content public; in connection with a business transaction; or when required to comply with law and protect rights, safety, and security.
We will identify material categories of service providers and explain whether data is used for advertising or tracking before the app launches. We do not currently sell personal information through this website.
5. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Once accounts are available, we will provide account controls and a documented account-deletion path. You may also contact us using the confirmed privacy address listed below.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when legally required, needed to complete transactions, resolve disputes, maintain security, or enforce agreements.
6. Retention and security
We plan to retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods will be specified more precisely as app features are finalized.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s privacy
The public website is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app’s minimum age and any age-assurance or parental-consent requirements will be established and disclosed before launch. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
8. International use and policy changes
Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, subject to appropriate safeguards required by law. We will provide jurisdiction-specific disclosures when needed.
We may update this policy as the product, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised version at this permanent URL and update the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when required.
